The Ottawa Family Court Facility was constructed using the integrated project delivery (IPD) method. The facility spans 57,200 square feet over three stories, housing general office space, security holding cells, and six court/hearing rooms, consolidating family services for Ottawa County. It features three rooftop VAV air handling systems providing a total of 47,600 CFM and 140 tons of cooling, alongside 88 VAV boxes with re-heat for space zone control, and boilers delivering heat and domestic hot water, with an additional boiler for snowmelt systems covering 7,200 square feet. Building information modeling (BIM) was utilized for all construction services, enabling clash-free coordination and efficient design prior to construction, thereby minimizing re-work and enhancing construction efficiencies.
